What do I do if I receive a suspicious email asking for my personal or account information?
If you think you've received a fraudulent e-mail related to your Control Prepaid MasterCard, please forward it to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will investigate it for you. You'll receive an automated response to let you know we received your e-mail.
How secure is www.mycontrolcard.com?
Information you provide via electronic forms on www.mycontrolcard.com is secure and encrypted in most instances. We advise you to always check that your web session is secure. Look for the small lock symbol that usually appears in the lower corner of your web browser window. Current versions of most web browsers use this symbol to indicate when a web page is encrypted for transmission. Or, look for the letters "https://" at the beginning of the website URL in your web browser. The 's' in 'https' means the web connection is secure.
How secure is Online Banking and the Account Center?
We are serious about keeping your personal information safe. For security reasons, you may access your card account information from our website only if you have enrolled for Control card Online Banking access. Control card Online Banking uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your personal information, such as user IDs, passwords, and card account information, when transmitted over the internet. Any information we provide is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches your browser. Enroll in Control card Online Banking. If you have not enrolled but wish to know your Control card account information, you can call Customer Service at 1-866-753-6324 during business hours.
How does my e-mail stay secure?
E-mail sent within the Control card Account Center is secure when you use the 'Secure Inbox'. However, e-mail you send to us through other means may not be secure - unless we advise you that security measures are in place prior to your transmitting the message. Therefore, DO NOT send confidential information, such as Social Security or card account numbers to us via unsecured e-mail. Such communications should be sent to us via the 'Secure Inbox,' or you may call Customer Service at 1-866-753-6324 during business hours.
Are links on www.mycontrolcard.com safe?

In most cases, links to non-Control card websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of the Control card website. How can I protect myself from fraud?
Fraud Protection begins with knowing your personal and account information is safe. Control your Information.
- Don't share your card account number or Personal Identification Number (PIN) with anyone. Don't write your PIN anywhere on your card, on any of the other materials that came with your card, or on print-outs of your card activity summaries. Always guard your card account number and PIN!
- If you use Control card Online Banking, don't share your username and password with anyone. Try to avoid writing it down and storing it somewhere where it can be easily lost. For more protection, change your password every 90 days and never use the same password for all of your online accounts.
What tools are available to help protect me from fraud?
The following features keep you informed of your Control card account activity. By accessing them, you will know if your card is being used without your authorization.
- Sign up for Anytime AlertsTM. This 24/7 text message service is a great way to keep up with transactions initiated from your Control card account.
- Check your Control card Online Banking Account Center page on a regular basis, even if you are not using your card on a regular basis.
What do I do if I see something unusual on my account?
If you think something unusual is going on with your Control card account or if you receive a communication (email/phone call/text) that doesn't seem right, call the Customer Service number on the back of your Control card (1-866-753-6324).
